They gutted my old kitchen, replaced the uneven plaster ceiling with new drywall, installed recessed lighting, enlarged the opening between my kitchen and dining/living room, installed slate flooring, new cabinets, granite and slate mosaic backdrop, painted the walls, and installed new appliances.

The project manager - Cemil - who took measurements at my home and assisted me in KBR's Fairfax showroom with the kitchen design was delightful and responsive throughout the entire process. The construction foreman - Javier - was highly professional and offered sound advice on the partial removal of the wall between the kitchen and the dining/living room (he was correct in extending the opening to the ceiling, instead of lower as I had initially suggested). The project started on time, and the work progressed on schedule with no "disappearances" for days or weeks on end... Attention was paid to details, so the overall result is a very professional-looking kitchen. Throughout the process, the company asked for feedback from me and promptly responded to any concerns or questions I had. All in all, a job well done.

Description Of Work: KBR Kitchen & Bath provided all remodeling services to include cabinets, counters, backsplash, floors, drywall, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and appliance installation. They started with a free in-home design and estimate. For the kitchen, removed old wallpaper, gutted entire kitchen, removed soffits, relocated HVAC ducts, installed new dedicated electrical line for over- the-range microwave, reconfigured plumbing, hauled away debris and old appliances. Installed new 42" cherry finished wood cabinets, porcelain tile floor, granite countertops, glass mosaic backsplash, stainless sink, gooseneck faucet, soap dispenser, hood vent duct as well as undercabinet lights and trim. Installed new electrical dimmer switches and outlets. Installed new baseboard and shoe-molding. Installed new doors, knobs and locks. Touched-up drywall and painted walls, ceilings, trim and doors. For the 1/2-bathroom, removed old wallpaper, removed old fixtures & floors and hauled away debris. Installed new porcelain tile floor, toilet, vanity cabinet, granite counter, sink and faucet along with glass mosaic backsplash, light fixture, mirror, towel ring and toilet paper holder.

Description Of Work: We had our bathroom renovated and updates to our kitchen. In our bathroom we changed the tile, added new cabinets, counter tops, lightening, and faucets. They reduced one wall to allow more light into the room. They added recess lightening to the general room and the toilet area. They built a bench in the shower area. In the kitchen they took down our back splash and put up new tile. We were so pleased with their work that we also had the floor in the laundry room tiled. Throughout the entire process they responded to any and all questions, and proved to be extremely trustworthy and polite. What they said they would do - they did. There were no "surprised" or no shows at any time. The job supervisor was wonderful! He often dropped by to check on things and asked if we had any questions. They were careful placing protective barriers up so the dusk would be contained and it worked. The common statement made to us was "we want you to be happy". We found them flexible and easy to work with. We were extremely pleased with the outcome and love it! The quality of their work was outstanding in all areas. We will use then again on any future projects. We highly recommend them for any bath or kitchen project you may have.

The whole project was pleasant and easy for us! They do wrap some items in the bedroom to protect from dust etc so I would make sure you have the items you may need before they start. Description Of Work: Our old kitchen was 21 years old. KBR gave us a very fair estimate to completely redo the kitchen. It was a package "deal" that included all demo work, new cabinets, granite countertops, electrical work, beautiful crown modling, glass hood over stovetop, new lighting, repairing our old laminate flooring, removal of old soffits, new sink and faucet, and various other extras. KBR was responsible for all aspects of renovation: electrical, plumbing and installation of new appliances (including the installation of a gas line for new gas cooktop) and touch up painting. We opted to pay extra to have the entire kitchen repainted and they did an excellent job.

The workmen were delightful, responsive, on time and the hardest working men I've ever had in my home. Description Of Work: KBR completely remodeled my bathroom. The job included removal of my old tub, wall tile, floor tile, vanity/sink, toilet, and removal of a small partition wall between the sink and toilet. KBR then installed a new tub, tiled shower walls, tiled floors, toilet, vanity/sink, and all the necessary plumbing.

Member Comments: Overall my experience with KBR was great! The salesman for the project, Arman, did a fantastic job seeing everything through to the end. When he came in for the initial estimate, he knew what I was looking for and did a good job a getting me exactly what I was looking for at the right price. I live in a condo and the had bathroom really needed to be updated. I will probably only be in the place for another year or two, so I was looking to update the bathroom with a modest budget. Nearly every contractor I met had estimated a total project cost of $12k to $15k. KBR came in at roughly $9,500 and did a superb job. The project began on a Monday and was completed just over a week later (the following Tuesday) with only one day off for Memorial Day Monday. The workers did a quality job and cleaned up well after themselves at the end of every day. There was some confusion a couple days with arrival times and gaining entry to my home, but Arman was very responsive and the issues were resolved very quickly and with little inconvenience. The finished product is terrific and it looks better than I expected. Arman offered some great input on the tile/vanity/countertop selections. Unfortunately their supplier did not have the faucet fixtures selected for the project in stock so I had to purchase them on my own at a local hardware store. KBR deducted the cost of the fixtures from the contract with no issues. In sum, KBR did a fantastic job and I am very satisfied. Arman was a great help through the entire process and very responsive. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. My only suggestion to KBR, Arman, and future potential customers would be to ask about/inform customers about smaller features that may be overlooked/not considered in the intial estimate phase. For example, when I went into their showroom to look over the final estimate/sign the contract, I was asked if I wanted a small alcove built into the wall for soap/shampoo. I had completely forgotten to ask for something like that when I first met with them about the job. I'm glad they offered it because I definitely needed it and I probably wouldn't have thought about it on my own until it was too late. I would just recommend KBR offer those ideas earlier on because it might be something the customer would really want, they just don't know it at the time of the first meeting. A simple "We can install an alcove for soap/shampoo for just a little extra", "We can do a plain tile pattern or an offset tile pattern for a little extra", and so on and so on. It's just gives the customer something to think about and gets the creative juices flowing earlier on in the process, rather than at the last moment when you're about to sign the contract. That's just my two cents of advice. In sum though, KBR and Arman did a fantastic job and I'm thrilled with the final product! I would definitely use them again. We found them on Angies List!They were wonderful! Came out right away and worked well with us. We were going to use them but because of a relatives connection we were able to get a even better upgrade at less cost. I liked them so much and knew they would do a great job and I hated calling telling them of our luck with the other company. We will definitely recommend them and use them for future projects when we have some money!

Mr. Cemil Yilmaz arrived on time to our home and was friendly and professional. He listened while we described the scope of the project and answered all of our questions. He came prepared with his laptop and was able to show us a computer generated image of our kitchen based on the details we discussed as well as a cost estimate. His was the lowest estimate we received out of five contractors. Cemil was also the only contractor who was able to present a design on the spot, which we thought was great. We then met with him at his showroom in Fairfax to look at material and finish options.

The crews were all very professional and consulted me (I was home during the renovation) if they had a question. The crew did have some questions about some of the work to be done from the wording of the contract which were resolved without any problems. The walls were plaster and tiles were ceramic. The crew worked 11 hours to gut the bathroom on the 1st day. Each day the crew arrived timely (and sometimes early). I had ordered the bathroom door from another company and it didn't come in for about a month after KBR finished the bathroom. KBR patiently waited and when the door came in, they quickly came, installed the door and performed the finishing touches on the bathroom.

Went as planned. Had some hiccups with availability of tile and countertops and they worked with me to get alternatives.

Each installation was completed on time, under budget, and with the utmost care and concern for the least amount of interruption to our family and home. My wife and I were trying to decide on a backsplash for our kitchen--we looked around at many different locations to see different ideas. Both of us were attracted to a simple design, having seen many kitchens with simple backsplashes. We came to KBR kitchen and bath and spoke to the sales people. We found them very knowledgeable and they gave us some great ideas. We continued to keep looking when we finally found something we liked with the help of a sales person named Erhan.

We were confused as to how to make the design. Erhan quickly created design ideas for us to see. His layout was perfect and as the attached pictures of our kitchen will display, the backsplash design made the kitchen a work of art. I cannot stress enough the value of doing a design and a little extra work for the backsplash in our case it was totally worth the end result.
